It’s a Bird, it’s a Plane, it’s a Metric Buckton of Snow!

As some of you may have heard, New England is going to be suffering from an acute case of blizzard.  Symptoms include being snowed in and not wanting to go outside.

Today’s review is going to focus on a small webcomic that just got its feet on the ground last December, going by the name Just Another Sheep.  The comic is authored by one Mat Heagerty, and has a whole crew of artists.   The comic updates 1-2 times per week.

Even though JAS is an extremely young comic, since discovering it my interest has been piqued.  In the first couple of comics, we meet Banning, a young teen in the land of hippies and the Vietnam, who looks shy, believes in peace, and has some cool mystical power.  Without lifting a finger, he breaks a man’s arm and makes another sick to his stomach- and is almost horribly timid about it!  The story hasn’t had the time to develop past a few intriguing plot hooks yet, but thus far, I’m a fan of the characters, a fan of the setting, a fan of the mysticism, and, most importantly, a fan of the art.

See, the art style is what initially drew me to this comic.  The art itself is really clean.  It’s got a cool style, that’s stylistically in check with the period the story takes place in, and the art perfectly compliments the story and the setting.  The artists, a verifiable crew of them, have done a phenomenal job of working on the comic, and their efforts really show.

The comic updates 1 day per week, with an additional page posted upon a collective $130 from various donors.  I highly recommend checking out this comic, and to look forward to its progress from hereon out.

That’s all for today!
